Somerton Monday's Holy Spirit Chapel 

Silent Prayer Group

3.45 to 4,00pm contemplative music then a short reading and prayer to help focus the mind, and then stillness and silence for about 30 mins. We end again with contemplative music, followed by the grace and then a cup of tea before going out into the world again.

We are continuing to hold regular working parties once a month in the churchyards, alternating between the two churches.

Wednesday 1st May in Mackrell churchyard 2.00-4.00pm

If you are able to come along your help would be much appreciated.

New members are very welcome—just come along to what is becoming the Charltons Green Gym.

Crispian, is one of the world’s best-known trumpet soloists, renowned for the quality of his performances and his wide-ranging musical experience. He will guide us through the evolution of the trumpet using various instruments and props; and will play his unique mix of classical and modern music, superbly accompanied by Leslie Pearson on the Piano.

 

Crispian and Leslie’s musical credits include major TV and Film soundtracks including:

Antiques Roadshow, Dr Who, Poirot, Star Wars, Four Weddings and a Funeral, James Bond and many more.

It is hoped to organise a monthly time for churchyard maintenance/tidying up, on the 4th Friday of each month between 10am and mid-day, beginning on Friday 26th April.

ST MICHAEL’S QUIZ NIGHT:

The next ‘St Michael’s Quiz Night’ is due to be held on 

starting at 7.00pm.

Teams of up to 6 people can be either formed in advance, or organised on the night.

Tickets costing £6.00 per person are available from Jacky/Rodger Calderwood or Jan/James Turner, and will include a cheese and wine supper.

Prizes for both the highest and lowest scoring teams.
