Monthly Worship and Praise Evening

Based around hymns & songs  being composed in this our generation.

Some “go-ey .”Some quiet / reflective. Do come –“taste  and see.”

We worship for up to an hour then drinks/eats for those who wish to stay.

Sunday 10th June Charltons Open Gardens 12 Noon to 6 pm

We will have at least 10 gardens open which will include a well-established garden in a charming thatched cottage, several lovely cottage gardens- one with a fine display of old roses. We have gardeners experimenting with raised beds and gardeners who love flowers and have developed cutting beds. We have lots of greenhouses full of thriving plants. Something for everyone with an interest in beautiful gardens and plants!

 

We will be serving teas and cakes at Deep Meadow Hillway, Charlton Mackrell TA11 6AN where tickets with a map and full description of all the gardens can be obtained costing £5.  All proceeds will be towards our two beautiful village churches both of which will be open during the day.

The Sunset Cafe Stompers are the West Country's premier New Orleans-style jazz band, playing jazz clubs, concerts for churches, arts centres, village dances, weddings, festivals, funerals and garden parties throughout the UK.

The line-up is Steve Graham (trumpet), Pete Middleton (trombone), Mike Betts (clarinet & tenor sax), Mike Denham (piano & leader of the band), Eddie Edwards (banjo), Pete Ward (bass) and Pete Winterhart (drums) and they play well-known tunes from the 1900-1930 period and ragtime and jazz standards.

This was a very popular concert on their last visit to St Michael's, so please book your tickets early.

 

 


Saturday 30th June - 1 pm until 5 pm -  Memorial Playing Fields Charlton Adam

 The Charltons Village Day

Come and join in the fun of a Village summer celebration.

 

There will be live music, a bar, hog roast, BBQ, tea tent, bouncy castle, a fun dog show, terrier racing, classic cars and motorbikes and a wide selection of stalls and games. Lots of car parking. See you there!

 

Claire Church has again very kindly offered to run the Bottle Tombola to raise funds for the churches and will be very grateful for donations of bottles.
